The German defense company Rheinmetall has already delivered the latest infantry fighting vehicle KF41 Lynx to Ukraine. This took place at the end of 2024, Rheinmetall's CEO Armin Papperger shared this information with Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung.

According to Papperger, the first Lynx infantry fighting vehicle delivered to Ukraine at the end of 2024 was manufactured by Rheinmetall's factory in the German community of Unterlüß.

The CEO of the defense company noted that the vehicle was currently being tested by the armed forces so that a serial order could be placed as soon as possible.

Lynx for Ukraine

The Lynx infantry fighting vehicle is a new development by Rheinmetall. The KF41 version was presented only in 2018.

The crew of this version of the Lynx consists of three people. At the same time, it can carry up to eight passengers. The vehicle reaches speeds of up to 80 kilometers per hour.

The Lynx features armor capable of protecting against anti-tank weapons, medium-caliber ammunition, shrapnel artillery, and bombs. Additionally, the vehicle can use extra active protection.

Lynx is equipped with cannons and machine guns, intended for destroying enemy infantry and lightly armored targets.

On June 12 last year, then Minister of Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin stated that by the end of the year, Ukraine and Rheinmetall would jointly produce the first Lynx infantry fighting vehicle. No further information has been provided about this so far.
