The Ukrainian army receives up to 80% of its intelligence data from its allies, with the majority coming from the United States of America, Politico reports.

According to the media resource, as of Wednesday, the Ukrainian armed forces were still receiving some intelligence from their partners, though it was not specified which countries were providing it. A source said that 80% of Ukraine’s intelligence information comes from allied countries, primarily the United States.

"It’s inevitably going to be a huge setback for the Ukrainians, I don’t think there’s any way to deny that. The British will try to fill the gap. We have our listening posts at RAF Akrotiri, which is sovereign, we have Rivet Joint flights in the area. But, we obviously don’t have all of the capabilities that the Americans have and there will be some things that just aren’t replaceable," said Neil Barnett, the CEO of Istok Associates Limited.

At the same time, other sources noted that Ukraine has become less dependent on American weapons systems compared to the early stages of the war. Up to 40% of the weapons used on the front lines are now produced in Ukraine.

Suspension of US intelligence sharing with Ukraine

Recently, the US has completely halted the exchange of intelligence information with Ukraine, as confirmed by the CIA director. Earlier, reports indicated that the US had stopped providing data for strikes on Russian territory but continued supplying intelligence on the positions of occupying forces.

Meanwhile, sources within Ukrainian military circles deny any changes in intelligence sharing. The Trump administration is reportedly using this as a means to pressure Kyiv into negotiations with Moscow to accelerate the end of the war, imposing strict demands exclusively on Ukraine.

At the same time, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu stated that France is ready to replace the United States in providing intelligence to Ukraine.
