Ukraine is ready to hold the second peace summit shortly. The peace framework developed with partners will be the basis for the meeting, as the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak says at the forum Diplomacy Today: Ukraine's Role in Global Politics.

“Thanks to active work with our partners, a joint peace framework has already been developed, which will become the basis for the second peace summit, and Ukraine is ready to hold it in the near future,” he said.

Yermak emphasized that over the past two years, Ukraine has become stronger on its irreversible path to full NATO membership.

“Ukraine has already proven its role as a key guarantor of security in Europe. Europe will not be safe without Ukraine,” he added.

Second peace summit

The Office of the President of Ukraine has announced that the second peace summit will take place after a joint peace plan, which includes 10 points of the peace formula proposed by Ukraine, is agreed upon. It was initially expected that the event could take place by the end of the year, but Russia has repeatedly stated that it would not participate.

Advisor to the head of the Presidential Office Dariia Zarivna clarified that the date of the summit will be determined after a series of thematic conferences scheduled for the end of October.

British Ambassador to Ukraine Martin Harris said that the first peace summit demonstrated global support for UN principles in ending the war in Ukraine.
