Ukraine needs a grand strategy and constant readiness - Chief of Ukrainian Defense Intelligence

The core component of Ukraine's future security should be the shift from a resource-based model to a high value-added economy.
This was stated by the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate, Kyrylo Budanov.
Budanov believes that the foundation of Ukraine's future security must be moving away from a resource-based model in favor of a high value-added economy, developing a modern high-tech defense-industrial complex, and creating a clear grand strategy for the state.
"A grand strategy for Ukraine is necessary so that we finally define our place and role in the new world and move confidently toward this goal," emphasized the head of the Main Intelligence Directorate.
Budanov also stressed that Ukrainian society must understand that the coming years "will not be smooth."
"This does not mean that we will be at war constantly, but we must be ready to respond, including militarily, at any moment," he said.
It is worth noting that the head of Ukrainian intelligence recently emphasized that Russia would have long lost the war in Ukraine if it had not been supported by its allies.
