Ukraine may receive Mark VI boats to protect grain corridor
Ukraine will receive boats to protect vessels sailing through the grain corridor. Probably, these will be Mark VI patrol boats, reveals Defense Express.
However, there is no precise information on what warships or boats the partners can provide to Ukraine. The only public mention of this option was in January 2023. But the delivery was not realized.
In particular, it was reported that the United States was preparing to transfer Mark VI patrol boats to Ukraine. These were new boats, not used ones.
A photo was even posted online showing a Mark VI Navy boat being loaded onto a barge. The weapons were to be installed elsewhere. However, the Mark VI story did not continue.

Defense Express reminded that the Ukrainian Navy is already using foreign boats against Raptors and Russian kamikaze boats. We are talking about PB40s, which are used to defend positions near Ochakiv.
The preceding events
Yesterday, on November 25, at a press conference following the Grain from Ukraine summit, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine would receive warships to protect ships in the Black Sea that will be sailing through the grain corridor.
"We have agreed with our partners and will accompany the ships at sea to ensure their safety. We already have specific agreements on receiving the ships. This is a matter of the near future," Zelenskyy said.
