Ukraine launches over 400 drones at 18 Russian regions in massive overnight attack

The Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out another aerial attack on several regions of Russia overnight, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the Armed Forces of Ukraine began the attack at 8:00 p.m. on September 29. It also said that the attack continued until 8:00 a.m. on September 30.
During this period, Russian air defenses attempted to suppress and destroy hundreds of Ukrainian drones over 18 regions.
The Russian Defense Ministry traditionally does not disclose the number of drones Ukraine used in its strikes, but the ministry's report indicates that more than 400 were involved.
This time, the following areas were targeted:
- Belgorod region;
- Bryansk region;
- Volgograd region;
- Voronezh region;
- Kostroma region;
- Kursk region;
- Oryol region;
- Penza region;
- Rostov region;
- Ryazan region;
- Samara region;
- Saratov region;
- Ulyanovsk region;
- Moscow region;
- Republic of Bashkortostan;
- Occupied Crimea;
- Republic of Tatarstan;
- Perm region.
The Russian Defense Ministry claims that its air defense forces allegedly managed to neutralize 384 Ukrainian drones.
Ukrainian defenders previously repelled a Russian overnight attack and destroyed a number of aerial targets.
Russia is also expanding the drone launch site it uses to attack Kyiv.
