Ukraine holds positions near Yunakivka and Khotin as Russia fails to advance

Russian forces continue unsuccessful attempts to advance in border areas, trying to create a so-called buffer zone. Fighting is ongoing near the settlements of Yunakivka, Andriivka, Yablunivka, Varachyne, and Kindrativka, according to the Communications Center of the Kursk troop grouping.
As reported by the Communications Center of the Kursk troop grouping, Ukrainian units are confidently holding back the enemy and giving it no chance of success. All statements by the Russian side about alleged advances are elements of information propaganda and do not reflect the real situation on the front line.
"The settlement of Khotin was, remains, and will continue to be under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, no matter how hard Russian forces try to convince you — and, most importantly, themselves — otherwise," the grouping emphasized.
Local residents are urged to ignore hostile narratives and rely only on verified sources of information.

Situation in the border areas of the Sumy region
Russian troops crossed the Ukrainian border near the village of Hrabovske in the Krasnopillia community of the Sumy region and forcibly took local residents to Russian territory. About 50 civilians are involved, most of whom had previously refused evacuation deeper into Ukraine.
The abduction was confirmed by the Ukrainian Parliament Commissioner for Human Rights, Dmytro Lubinets. According to him, the people were held without communication and in inadequate conditions. Forced removal was also reported by Viktor Trehubov, a representative of the Joint Forces Group, who noted that most of those detained are civilian men.
The Joint Forces Group added that fighting for the settlement continues and that Ukrainian troops are carrying out actions to push the enemy back across the state border.
