Ukrainian Defense Forces on the night of January 10 struck a fuel depot in Volgograd Oblast, Russia, as well as a number of targets in temporarily occupied Ukrainian territories, according to the Telegram channel of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"As part of measures to reduce the offensive capabilities of the Russian aggressor, on the night of January 10, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck the Zhutovskaya fuel depot (Oktyabrsky district, Volgograd Oblast, Russia)," the report said.

The General Staff noted that the target was hit, and the extent of the damage is being clarified. It is known that this facility is involved in supplying fuel to Russian army units.

In addition, on temporarily occupied territory in Zaporizhzhia, a drone storage site belonging to a unit of the 19th Motorized Rifle Division of the Russian army was struck.

Ukrainian troops also struck an enemy drone control point in the Pokrovsk area of Donetsk Oblast.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that there are other results as well.

"In the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Oblast, a number of enemy targets were struck, including: a concentration of personnel of the 76th Air Assault Division (Kurakhivka), a command and observation post of a unit of the tank battalion of the same division (Hirnyk), and a control point of a unit of the 41st Army (Hirnyk)," the report said.

The ministry emphasized that in all of the above cases, attack drones hit the targets. Enemy losses are being clarified.

Explosions in Russia

It should be recalled that on the night of January 10, Russians complained that Volgograd Oblast had been attacked by drones. Later, local authorities confirmed a fire at the fuel depot in Oktyabrsky district.

It was also reported that on the night of January 7, Ukrainian forces struck the Oskolneftesnab fuel depot in the area of Kotel, Belgorod Oblast, Russia. As a result of the hits, a massive fire broke out in the tanks.

In addition, on January 8, it became known that Ukrainian Defense Forces struck a moving train carrying fuel and lubricants on the territory of occupied Crimea. This refers to a train that was on a loading gantry at the Hvardiyske fuel depot.
