Ukraine has enough resources for two months before adopting U.S. aid, MP says

Ukraine has enough resources for two months before adopting U.S. aid, MP says Head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia (Vitalii Nosach, RBC-Ukraine)

The United States may approve funding for assistance to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan in the next two months. Ukraine has enough resources for these two months, as the head of the Servant of the People faction David Arakhamia says in an interview with Report.

"We have enough resources for two months, so we feel safe," Arakhamia said, adding that in the next two months, the U.S. will coordinate assistance.

According to the MP, a new wave of mobilization will not happen without demobilization, as additional expenses are needed for equipment and training of people.

"While preparing for the counteroffensive, we had over 200,000 trained soldiers. Some of them underwent training in Romania, France, Italy, Spain, and other countries. According to existing agreements, training was conducted at the expense of these countries," he says.

Arakhamia adds that Ukraine will seek opportunities for financing mobilization from internal sources, as the situation with external financing is complex.

"Recently, the European Union adopted a program of 50 billion euros for 4 years. It means we have certain financial resources for the next 4 years. Last week I was in the U.S. and witnessed support for Ukraine. However, there are still unresolved issues inside (the U.S. - ed.) related to the border," Arakhamia said.

U.S. delaying aid to Ukraine

The U.S. Senate was supposed to pass a bill on assistance to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan along with the protection of the southern border of the U.S. The bill was blocked after the Senate vote.

Ukrainian Ambassador to the U.S. Oksana Markarova said that the Senate decided to reconsider the bill on assistance to Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan, but without immigration reform and border security.

Yesterday, the U.S. Senate voted to begin debates on the bill on assistance to Ukraine.
