Ukraine gets its first firefighting robot to fight fires and save lives (photos, video)

Ukrainian rescuers received their first firefighting robot from a Ukrainian manufacturer on July 5, informs the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
The robotic system was handed over on a charitable basis. It not only extinguishes fires but can also transport equipment and work as a tractor.
During the handover of the new equipment, rescuers underwent training and tested the machine in action.
"The firefighting robot will significantly improve safety for personnel and increase efficiency during emergency response. We thank our partners for this important and necessary support," the State Emergency Service said.

Notably, this is not the first time a robot has been deployed with rescue teams. Last year, a special robot — the Magirus Wolf R1 — was used to help extinguish a fire caused by a Russian strike.
This robot was produced by a German company. It was designed for remote firefighting in hazardous areas where there is a threat to the life and health of rescuers.
