Ukraine expects diplomatic push in August, ready for all negotiation formats - Zelenskyy

Ukraine has stated that it is ready for any format of negotiations capable of bringing about a just and lasting peace, according to President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and a post by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov on Telegram.
What Zelenskyy said
In his evening address, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the issue of negotiations had been discussed during a special meeting.
According to Zelenskyy, Ukraine remains in daily contact with representatives of US President Donald Trump and expects diplomatic efforts to intensify as early as August.
Ukraine will be ready for all formats of meetings and expects Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to play an active role in August, Zelenskyy said.
He added that engagement with other partners, including countries in the Persian Gulf, is continuing, although some of that work cannot yet be disclosed publicly.
According to the president, Kyiv expects concrete results from ongoing diplomatic efforts.
What Umerov said
Head of Ukraine's Foreign Intelligence Service Rustem Umerov said that President Zelenskyy had convened a meeting focused on the negotiation process and further coordination with international partners.
Together with Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's military intelligence agency (HUR), Servant of the People parliamentary faction leader Davyd Arakhamia, and First Deputy Foreign Minister Serhiy Kyslytsya, Umerov briefed the president on developments related to negotiations.
According to Umerov, each participant presented updates in their respective areas, ranging from engagement with partners to negotiations and further steps aimed at strengthening Ukraine's position.
He stressed that Kyiv maintains daily coordination with the United States. At the same time, Ukraine continues to work with European countries as well as partners in the Middle East and the Persian Gulf to bolster international support and advance joint security initiatives.
Part of this diplomatic work remains non-public.
Ukraine is ready for all negotiation formats that could help bring about a just and lasting peace, Umerov said.
Ukraine continues to coordinate with international partners not only on security issues but also on European integration. The government has identified preparations for the coming winter and the fulfillment of requirements needed to advance EU accession talks among its key priorities.
