Ukraine expands mandatory evacuation of families with children in Donetsk region

Some settlements in the Svyatogorsk and Sloviansk communities of the Donetsk region will carry out the mandatory evacuation of families with children. The authorities have approved the decision, according to the Donetsk Regional State Administration.
Mandatory evacuation expanded in Donetsk region
The Coordination Headquarters for evacuation measures and effective response to the mass displacement of people in the Donetsk region held another meeting.
The establishment of a new evacuation point for civilians was approved. The reason is that Russian forces are deliberately attacking evacuation sites for civilians in the region.
A decision was also approved on the mandatory evacuation of children:

From certain settlements in the Svyatogorsk urban community

From certain areas of the city of Sloviansk

From certain areas of the village of Sukhanivka in the Sloviansk community
The Donetsk Regional State Administration said the aim is to protect the lives and health of children amid the constant threat of Russian attacks.

In early August, the Donetsk regional authorities expanded the mandatory evacuation from Kramatorsk, Bilenke, and Krasnotorka.
On July 30, authorities in the Kharkiv region also ordered the mandatory evacuation of families with children from the Staryi Saltiv community.
On July 24, the mandatory evacuation of families with children was expanded in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Hundreds of residents, including more than 300 children, are required to move to safer areas.
