Ukraine has successfully repatriated 179 people from Lebanon, including 134 Ukrainian citizens and 45 foreign nationals, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.

"On October 1, 2024, under the directive of the President of Ukraine, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense successfully conducted another operation to evacuate citizens from Lebanon," the statement reads.

A total of 179 people were evacuated, including 112 adults and 22 children from Ukraine. Additionally, 45 individuals were evacuated, including citizens of Poland, Czechia, Lithuania, Moldova, Brazil, and Lebanon. Two dogs and a cat were also rescued.

"This operation is part of broader efforts to repatriate Ukrainian citizens due to the worsening security and economic situation in the region. Through three evacuation missions from Lebanon, 234 people have been evacuated, including 189 Ukrainian citizens and 45 foreign nationals," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized.

At the end of the post, the ministry expressed gratitude to Poland and SkyUp Airlines for their assistance in carrying out the evacuation.
