Ukraine does not interfere in US-Russia talks - Foreign Ministry

Ukraine does not interfere in negotiations between the United States and Russia. No decisions on Ukraine are made in such talks, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Heorhii Tykhyi says.
“Look, we have a general principle that we do not interfere in bilateral dialog and bilateral negotiations, it is their business, the business of these two countries. There is nothing substantial discussed there that concerns Ukraine. This is important for us,” he said.
According to the spokesperson, the talks between the US and Russia could have included some substantive statements in the context of Russian-American relations, but not a discussion of any decisions regarding Ukraine.
Tykhyi recalled the principle of nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine and noted that this principle is being adhered to.
“Publicly, we also analyze and see all the messages that come out in the same way as you do, and we analyze the public messages of the American and Russian sides, which can give us a picture of the dynamics of how this dialogue and process is going on. But these are their bilateral affairs, we do not interfere here, just as we believe that no one should interfere in our bilateral affairs with the United States, including Russia,” he added.
US-Russia talks
On February 18, the US and Russian delegations met in Saudi Arabia. US Secretary of State Marco Rubio assured that he was convinced of Russia's willingness to begin a serious process to determine how to end the war.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukraine does not recognize the results of the talks in Riyadh. He also postponed his visit to Saudi Arabia because of a meeting between Russian and American delegations.
The delegations of Ukraine and the United States will meet in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, March 11.
