Ukraine develops simulators to train military ground robot operators

Ukraine is developing simulators to train operators of unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). The project is currently at the MVP (minimum viable product) stage, and the developers plan to present it in the near future, L7 Simulators combat simulation ecosystem founder Igor Belov told RBC-Ukraine.
What will the UGV simulators be used for?
The developers' main goal is to recreate every aspect of real combat in a virtual environment. This will make it possible to simulate both past and future operations to evaluate the effectiveness of different strategies.
In addition to unmanned ground vehicles, the ecosystem will also include:

Electronic warfare (EW);

Artillery;

Service systems for integrating all processes.
L7 Simulators aims to bring together training methodologies and real combat experience into a single database. This will help create standardized training programs and identify the most effective tactical solutions.
"This will not only be a Ukrainian project, but a project that will expand worldwide," Belov said.
According to Igor Belov, the development of Ukrainian simulators is based on real experience gained in modern warfare rather than outdated protocols from the 1990s. Ukrainian manufacturers and the military operate within a single community where brainstorming sessions are held to exchange experience.
The developers' main objective is to build a comprehensive ecosystem that all Ukrainian simulator manufacturers will be able to join. The project is also planned to be expanded internationally.
Earlier, L7 Simulators presented the first next-generation VR simulator designed to train users in the full cycle of military equipment maintenance in virtual reality. The simulator was developed using the 122 mm D-30 howitzer as a model.
