Ukrainian company ARMOLAB has unveiled the UNIMOD modular ground robotic system, designed for airborne deployment.

The new ground drone consists of three separate parts: two individual tracked modules and a platform positioned between them.

Thanks to this design, the UNIMOD can be transported in separate parts and assembled on site. The company intends for the UGV to be delivered by an aerial drone either fully assembled or in separate parts.

The production model is said to weigh approximately 59 kg in total. It can also reach speeds of up to 6 km/h. Its stated maximum payload capacity is up to 100 kg. The manufacturer also offers a version with a wheeled chassis. Potential applications include logistics and evacuation.

Renault Group recently unveiled the modular UGV called the Forefront Concept, developed using proven automotive technologies and components.

The vehicle's design предусматриває the installation of two electric motors and a steering system for the wheels on both axles. According to the manufacturer, the vehicle can travel approximately 400 km on a single battery charge.

In addition, it was previously reported that Rheinmetall's Croatian Komodo UGV underwent bridge-laying trials in September.

It was also reported earlier that Ukraine's Third Army Corps became the first in the world to deploy UGVs from bomber drones behind enemy lines.
