Andriivka in Ukraine's Sumy region is under the full control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces. Reports claiming it was captured by Russian troops are not true, according to the Communications Center of the Group of Forces Kursk.
Refuting claims of occupation
The military has officially confirmed that Andriivka remains under the Ukrainian flag. Despite the enemy's attempts to advance in this area, the Defense Forces continue to hold their positions.
"Andriivka has been and remains under the full control of the Kursk Group of Forces. So, any occupation is out of the question," the Communications Center stressed.

The Group noted that the enemy is attempting to expand its zone of control in the region, but these attempts have been unsuccessful. Commanders urge the media and the public to rely only on verified information and avoid spreading rumors from unreliable sources.

Information hygiene
Ukrainians are asked to critically treat reports from monitoring sources, including DeepState, which previously claimed the settlement had been lost. The Armed Forces of Ukraine stressed that the enemy uses such information dumps to destabilize society and cause panic.
On January 7, 275 combat engagements were recorded along the front line, with the most active attacks in the Pokrovsk direction.
The General Staff reports that during the day, the enemy carried out more than 3,200 shelling attacks, launched two missiles, and dropped 100 guided aerial bombs. Also, Russian forces used more than 4,500 kamikaze drones to strike Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
Total Russian losses since the start of the full-scale invasion have reached 1,215,900 personnel. In addition, the Defense Forces have destroyed more than 11,500 tanks, approximately 23,900 armored vehicles, and more than 35,800 artillery systems on the battlefield.
