Ukraine is capable of increasing drone production to 2 million units per year. However, additional financial assistance from Western countries is needed for this, states Mykhailo Fedorov, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, in an interview with The Guardian.

According to the minister, the Ukrainian government is "contracting much less than our manufacturers are capable of," because the Cabinet lacks sufficient funds.

Fedorov has reminded that Ukraine is currently on track to produce over 1 million drones per year.

"We’ve been able to scale the market so much that we can manufacture more than one or even two million drones," Fedorov specified.

He reveals that over 200 companies are involved in drone production in Ukraine. Of the drones used on the battlefield, over 90% are manufactured in Ukraine.

Fedorov notes that the main problem in the drone sector is financial. Currently, our country feels a lack of financial assistance from the United States.
