The head of the Chancellery of the President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, and Zbigniew Bogucki have been added to the database of the Myrotvorets website. The reason was the official's scandalous statements regarding the territorial affiliation of Ukraine's western regions, according to data from the Myrotvorets center.

The Polish official has been officially labeled an anti-Ukrainian propagandist. Bogucki's dossier is already available on the portal.

Experts from the center have highlighted several key reasons for this decision:

  • Encroachment on Ukraine's sovereignty;
  • Attempts to undermine the territorial integrity of the state;
  • Participation in acts of humanitarian aggression;
  • Manipulation of facts to incite hostility between Poles and Ukrainians.

The resource's administration calls on law enforcement agencies to monitor this individual. They consider Bogucki's actions to be a deliberate affront to the international legal order. This is a direct threat to national security.

The conflict was provoked by Bogucki's comment made in the Sejm (the Polish parliament – ed.). He raised the issue of the Volhynia tragedy and, in reference to Ukraine's western regions, used the term Eastern Lesser Poland. This formulation is often used by supporters of the idea of returning Ukrainian lands to Poland.

Context of the scandal

A few days ago, Zbigniew Bogucki called Western Ukraine Małopolska, which does not correspond to either historical or modern realities. In our material, we provided a brief historical background on why all the fabrications about the primeval Polish lands in Western Ukraine are nonsense and imperial chauvinism.

Such a statement by the head of the Chancellery of the President of Poland came ahead of the upcoming Polish elections, against the backdrop of the conflict over Volodymyr Zelenskyy signing a decree assigning one of the units the name of the Heroes of the UPA (Ukrainian Insurgent Army).

The Center for Countering Disinformation warned that Russian special services are preparing an information campaign around the Volyn tragedy.
