The Dyagilevo air base in Ryazan and a port in Novorossiysk, Krasnodar Krai of Russia, were attacked, according to Andrii Kovalenko, head of the Center for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defense Council.

“Ryazan - strikes on the Dyagilevo air base. One of the key air bases of the Russian strategic aviation,” the message reads.

The port in Novorossiysk, where Russia keeps its missile carriers involved in the shelling of Ukraine, was hit.

The 43rd Center for Combat Employment and Retraining of Long-Range Aviation Flight Personnel, equipped with Tu-95MS, Tu-22M3, Tu-134UBL, An-26 aircraft, as well as the 203rd Independent Aircraft-refuelling Aviation Regiment, equipped with Il-78, are stationed at the Dyagilevo air base.

The 360th Aviation Repair Plant is located near the air base.

Novorossiysk is a key port of the Russian Black Sea Fleet. After the destruction of ports and ships in Crimea, Russians relocated their fleet to Novorossiysk.

Nighttime explosions in Russia

On the night of December 4, explosions were reported in Novorossiysk. The mayor of the Russian city reported the operation of air defense systems.

Last night it was also loud in Ryazan near the Dyagilevo air base. Videos of explosions were posted online. Russians reported the drone attack.

The Russian Defense Ministry said that 24 Ukrainian drones were intercepted and destroyed overnight. Six were shot down over the Rostov region, five over the Bryansk region, four over the Belgorod region, three over the Ryazan region, one over the Astrakhan region, and five over the Krasnodar region of Russia.
