Ukraine attacked by drones and missiles: Air defense operating in 14 regions
On the night of November 20, Russia fired more than a hundred drones and six missiles at Ukraine. Air defense was operating in 14 regions, report Ukrainian Air Forces
Last night, the Russian troops struck the Kharkiv region with an S-300 guided missile from the Belgorod region. The occupiers also fired five Kh-59/69 guided missiles at the Dnipro, Chernihiv and Sumy regions.
In addition, the Russians attacked with guided aerial bombs and launched 122 Shaheds and unidentified drones from the areas of Kursk, Orel, and Prymorsko-Akhtarsk.
Aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups repelled the enemy's attack. As of 11:00 a.m., two X-59/69 guided missiles and 56 enemy drones were confirmed downed.
Air defense systems were deployed in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Chernihiv, Poltava, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytsky, Sumy, Mykolaiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Donetsk and Kharkiv regions.
Another 58 drones were lost in different regions. Five drones flew to Russia and one to Belarus.
Consequences of the Russian attack
In the evening the Russian army launched a missile attack on the town of Pryluky in the Chernihiv region. The attack injured a man and damaged civilian facilities.
Air defense was also working in Kyiv at night. There were several explosions in the capital overnight. In the morning, the Kyiv City Military Administration reported that debris fell in the Dniprovskyi district and a fire broke out in a multi-story building. Later it turned out that the information was not confirmed.
Local authorities clarified that the drone debris fell in two districts of the capital, Podilskyi and Obolonskyi.
