Ukraine and the Netherlands, on Friday, October 10, signed a memorandum on joint drone production, said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"A new important step in our defense cooperation with the Netherlands – today, our countries signed a Memorandum of Understanding concerning Coproduction of drones. This is one of the promising areas of our bilateral cooperation," Zelenskyy stated.

He thanked the government and people of the Netherlands for their support of Ukraine, which has already reached $9 billion since the start of Russia's full-scale invasion. The Netherlands has also contributed about $600 million to the PURL initiative.

"During today's meeting with the Defense Minister, Ruben Brekelmans, we discussed the development of joint drone production, the implementation of the initiative, and collaboration with the Netherlands in this area. I am grateful for the meeting and for all the efforts made to support our people," Zelenskyy said.

Earlier, President Zelenskyy had announced agreements with Norway and the Netherlands to help restore Ukraine's energy system after Russian attacks.
