Ukraine and Slovakia plan to jointly produce engineering equipment - Ukraine's MoD
Ukraine plans to jointly produce engineering equipment with Slovak enterprises. In particular, this involves the Bozena demining machines, according to he Ministry of Defense of Ukraine.
According to Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, today, within the framework of intergovernmental consultations between Ukraine and Slovakia, important issues of defense cooperation were discussed.
"We expect new defense contracts. Recently, we signed an agreement to increase the production of shells for Ukraine by a company whose production facilities are located in Slovakia," he stated.
Umerov also mentioned that plans include joint production of engineering equipment with Slovak enterprises, specifically demining machines Bozena, with localized production in Ukraine.
"Slovakia is also ready to provide its own engineering equipment for demining, which will accelerate the clearance of our territories. We are working together to strengthen the security of our borders," the minister added.
Meeting between Shmyhal and Fico
Today, October 7, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal met with his Slovak counterpart Robert Fico, with whom the second intergovernmental consultations were held today.
Among the topics of discussion were infrastructure projects, energy security, Ukraine's peace plan, and issues related to Ukraine's European integration.
