Ukraine and Norway have extended the transport visa-free regime for another year, until June 30, 2025, according to Ukraine's Ministry of Restoration.

This means that Ukrainian and Norwegian carriers will be able to conduct bilateral and transit transportation between the countries without the need to obtain additional permits.

The visa-free regime applies to Euro-5 standard trucks and above, but drivers must carry an environmental certificate and a transport license extract.

The transport visa-free regime with Ukraine already applies to 37 countries, including EU member states.

What is transport visa-free regime

The transport visa-free regime simplifies the procedure for international freight transport. Previously, Ukrainian trucks needed to obtain numerous permits to enter Europe, which was a lengthy and bureaucratic process.

Ukrainian carriers now have access to the transport visa-free regime with 37 countries, including EU states. Over the past year, Ukraine has secured transport visa-free agreements with North Macedonia, Türkiye, Moldova, and Georgia.

Earlier, Ukraine also signed a similar agreement with Montenegro.
