Ukraine and Israel have agreed to hold a strategic dialogue on the Iranian threat soon, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha says during a briefing with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar.

"Today, our countries (Ukraine and Israel - ed.) face common security challenges. Iran and Russia pose an existential threat not only to our countries, but also to global security," said Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha.

According to him, Iran continues to destabilize the region, is trying to develop a nuclear program, and supplies weapons to terrorist groups. Moscow, Tehran, and Pyongyang have united in a single alliance of criminal regimes that threaten the whole world.

"Against the backdrop of these threats, we decided to launch a separate dialogue on the Iranian threat," Sybiha adds.

Sa'ar's visit to Ukraine

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar arrived in Kyiv on Tuesday, July 22. He is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian officials.

Sa'ar is scheduled to meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, and the deputy speaker of the Ukrainian parliament.

He will also visit the Babyn Yar memorial, where more than 33,000 Jews were shot by Nazi troops during World War II.
