UK trains Ukrainian troops in overcoming obstacles - Ukrainian General Staff
In the United Kingdom, Ukrainian soldiers are being trained by British instructors to navigate obstacle courses, focusing on building strength and endurance, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
"The soldiers overcame about two dozen obstacles of varying complexity: a trench with an imitational enemy, smoky trenches, water obstacles, moving through dangerous terrain, including forests, swamps, engineering barriers, performing firing exercises after physical exertion, and other obstacles," the General Staff reported.
Additionally, during their training, Ukrainian troops faced traps such as:
- explosive devices;
- constant overhead firing;
- detonation of mines and streamers;
- shouting and noise;
- simulated severe injuries along the entire strip.
The drills aim to teach soldiers rapid movement, depth jumps, crawling, and descending, among other skills. These exercises are designed to enhance physical abilities and build psychological resilience, confidence, determination, and endurance.
“Instructors of Great Britain simulate situations that may arise on the front lines as much as possible, helping the military to adapt to war and get a more adequate response to a difficult situation,” the General Staff concluded.
