UK to keep supporting Ukraine in 2024, says Foreign Secretary
The United Kingdom intends to maintain or even increase its level of assistance to Ukraine in 2024, according to the Foreign Secretary, David Cameron, The Guardian reports.
In his speech in the House of Lords, the upper house of parliament, he reminded that the United Kingdom has already provided humanitarian and economic aid to Ukraine amounting to over £4.7 billion (approximately $6 billion) and will continue to do so.
He notes that he does not have exact expense figures for the next year, but the support will continue at the same level as before or even more.
UK aid to Ukraine
The UK has been one of Ukraine's key allies since the beginning of the full-scale invasion. The Ukrainian military has received Challenger 2 tanks, Storm Shadow long-range missiles, M270 multiple launch rocket systems, and more.
Recently, The Times reported that the UK had supplied Ukraine with Martlet missiles to help in protecting against Shahed drones.
