UK does not rule out patrolling skies over Ukraine, media says

United Kingdom does not rule out the participation of its fighter jets in patrolling the skies over the western part of Ukraine as part of the Sky Shield, The i Paper reports.
The office of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer has refused to rule out the possibility that the country's fighter jets will join the European Air Force in patrolling the skies over the West of Ukraine.
When asked whether London was ready to provide fighter jets for this plan, the Prime Minister's Office evaded a specific answer, but a spokesperson for the Prime Minister said that the United Kingdom would do everything necessary to support Ukraine and ensure that it has the strongest possible position.
Sky Shield
According to The Guardian, the European Air Force with 120 fighter jets can protect the skies over Kyiv and the western part of Ukraine to avoid escalation of the conflict with Russia. The Sky Shield will operate separately from NATO and may be part of an air ceasefire.
It could cover Ukraine's 3 operating nuclear power plants, Odesa and Lviv, but not the front line or the east of the country.
