UK Defense Minister visits Ukraine

On September 3, British Defense Secretary John Healey arrived in Ukraine, according to Ukrainian Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal.
"Glad to welcome UK Defence Secretary John Healey to Ukraine," Shmyhal said in his statement.
According to him, together with his British counterpart, they plan to coordinate the main issues of the next Ramstein meeting, which will take place in London, and joint defense projects.
"We are preparing important bilateral decisions that will strengthen the defense capabilities of our countries," the Ukrainian Defense Minister added.
Cooperation between Ukraine and United Kingdom
Since the beginning of Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the United Kingdom has provided Kyiv with comprehensive assistance and has been one of the key allies in supporting the Ukrainian Defense Forces. London has already allocated billions of pounds in military and civilian aid to Kyiv during the war and has trained tens of thousands of Ukrainian military personnel.
Earlier this year, Britain and Ukraine signed a 100-year partnership agreement. The United Kingdom was the first among the allies to sign such a document.
It is designed to build strong ties between the two countries across the entire spectrum of relations:
- Trade,
- Security,
- Defense,
- Science,
- Technology,
- Education,
- Culture.
