A major new escalation in Russia's hybrid war against Europe could occur in the coming months, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned, as reported by WP Wiadomości.

Journalists asked the Polish prime minister to comment on a statement by Jacek Siewiera, the former head of Poland's National Security Bureau. Siewiera recently said that Russia's hybrid war against Europe could reach a decisive climax this winter.

Tusk stressed that he was not making his own predictions but was relying on information and specific recommendations from the intelligence services of Ukraine, Poland, and their allies. According to him, this provides grounds to expect an escalation before Christmas.

The Polish prime minister also warned of a difficult winter, particularly for border security and railway infrastructure.

In addition, Tusk urged Poland to prepare for new acts of sabotage and provocations on its territory, which could become more frequent and occur on a larger scale. He recalled that people in military uniforms had already been spotted in Latvia.

"Lithuania is expecting some serious provocation. One thing is clear, however: Russia will intensify this escalation and test our response—that is the problem," Tusk warned.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Putin's new plan covers every major city in Ukraine.

It was also reported that Russia plans to deploy ballistic missiles in Belarus and drag the country into the war.
