Negotiations between Ukraine, the US, and Russia are tentatively scheduled to take place on November 4 in the UAE, states Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

Tusk stated that the call by Finnish President Alexander Stubb and Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre to the Russian president took place after consultations with him, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and the American side.

"It would be good for European politicians to have a working contact given the planned ceasefire talks that may take place in Abu Dhabi," noted Tusk.

According to him, negotiations between Ukraine, the US, and the aggressor state in the UAE are tentatively scheduled for November 4.

Tusk confirmed that he had been informed in advance about the plans for the telephone conversation. He added that Støre assured him that, together with Stubb, he was ready to take political responsibility for the conversation with Putin and would adhere to the agreed position of the Coalition of the Willing.

According to the Polish prime minister, after the conversation, Stubb informed him that both sides maintained their positions.

The Finnish President noted that the European side got an impression of quite restrained optimism regarding the chances of achieving progress in Abu Dhabi during the conversation.

Today the leaders of Finland and Norway called the Russian leader to urge him to end the war in Ukraine.

Prior to this, Stubb and Støre held consultations with Ukraine to convey its position regarding future peace negotiations in Abu Dhabi.
