Trump-Zelenskyy clash spoof goes viral in US

The recent altercation between Donald Trump and Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the White House remains one of the most talked-about topics. Now, their conversation has been turned into a parody.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, the exchange in the Oval Office was mocked on American television — on the show Saturday Night Live.
Parody of the Trump-Zelenskyy altercation
Comedians decided to present their own version of the presidents’ conversation. The sketch also featured Elon Musk, who has recently made numerous statements about the war, Ukraine, and global politics.
The actor portraying Trump began the "conversation" by mentioning a "trap" and claiming that American politicians were planning to "attack" Zelenskyy with criticism and accusations.

“I'd like to welcome President Zelensky to this incredible trap. It’s going to be a big, beautiful trap, and we’re going to attack him very soon for no reason,” the actor playing Trump said.
The comedians also mocked Vice President J.D. Vance. During the real conversation, Vance criticized Zelenskyy and made bold statements. The parody offered a satirical take on his remarks.
“I’ve been to Ukraine! Through Google Maps,” the comedian portraying Vance quipped.
Online reaction
Within hours, the video had amassed over a million views. The parody is taking the internet by storm, receiving widespread praise. Many users, including Ukrainians, expressed their gratitude for the support.
- “Greetings from Ukraine! This is hilariously detailed (though the actual press conference was a dark day for my country). The Musk parody is absolutely brilliant.”
- “This was actually less chaotic and awkward than the real thing.”
- “As a Ukrainian, I want to say a huge thank you for not staying silent and telling the truth through comedy. It was both sad and funny to watch. I deeply appreciate all Americans who stand with us in these difficult times — it means the world to us.”
- “It’s sad that reality is far more absurd and comical than any sketch. This isn’t even an exaggeration.”
- “Zelenskyy is a man without a suit, and Trump is a suit without a man.”
What happened during the Trump-Zelenskyy meeting?
On February 28, during Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s official visit to the White House, J.D. Vance and Donald Trump began criticizing him. The exchange started when a journalist questioned why Zelenskyy wasn’t wearing a suit in the Oval Office.
Trump then claimed that Ukraine was not showing enough gratitude to the US and insisted that Kyiv should sign a peace deal with Russia.
When Zelenskyy asked about security guarantees, Trump responded that Ukraine “doesn’t have strong cards.” To this, Zelenskyy replied, that he didn’t come to the White House to play cards.
“Don’t tell us what we’re going to feel. We’re trying to solve a problem,” Trump declared.
