US President Donald Trump demands that Ukraine reach a peace agreement with Russia. Otherwise, the US "is out, " says Trump at the meeting with Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

"I’ve empowered you (Ukraine - ed.) to be a tough guy, and I don’t think you’d be a tough guy without the United States. You’re either gonna make a deal or we are out, and if we’re out, you’ll fight it out. I don’t think it’s gonna be pretty, but you’ll fight it out," Trump said.

He added that Ukraine "has no cards." However, if a deal on minerals is signed, Ukraine "will be in a much better position."

"But you're not acting at all thankful, and that's not a nice thing," the US President clarified.

Zelenskyy's clash with Trump

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is currently visiting the US on February 28. He met with US President Donald Trump at the White House.

During a conversation with journalists, a quarrel broke out between Zelenskyy and Trump concerning the war in Ukraine. The Ukrainian President reminded that the war in Ukraine had not ended under Barack Obama, Donald Trump, or Joe Biden.

This provoked a sharp reaction from US Vice President JD Vance and later from Trump.
