Trump warns Putin must make decision on Ukraine or face consequences

Russian President Vladimir Putin must make a decision in the context of the war against Ukraine. If it does not satisfy the United States, there will be consequences, US President Donald Trump stated at a meeting with Polish President Karol Nawrocki.
Trump, in response to a question about a statement for Putin, noted that he has no message for the head of the Kremlin.
"I have no message to President Putin, he knows where I stand. He'll make a decision one way or the other, whatever his decision is, we will either be happy about it or unhappy and if we're unhappy about it, you'll see things happen," Trump added.
Trump's threats
US President Donald Trump has been threatening Russian President Vladimir Putin with consequences for several months if he does not want to end the war against Ukraine.
But the American leader is in no hurry to move to serious measures against Russia. So far, Washington has only imposed tariffs against India, which is one of the largest buyers of Russian oil.
Today, September 3, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that Trump promised to make a decision regarding sanctions and tariffs against Russia in a few weeks.
According to the head of the Ukrainian state, he will hold a conversation with the American leader to clarify the exact timing.
In addition, recently US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent acknowledged that Putin had in a "despicable manner" intensified strikes on peaceful cities of Ukraine. Therefore, sanctions will be discussed in the United States.
