Russia's war against Ukraine will end soon, even though there are currently no signs that the fighting is coming to an end, US President Donald Trump made the statement, according to the White House YouTube channel.

The American leader once again publicly decided to reflect on international conflicts that he claims to have managed to resolve during his second term.

Trump once again began claiming that he had generally managed to end eight wars in different parts of the world.

Moreover, the White House chief said that the Russian-Ukrainian war was the "easiest" task of them all.

"A lot of people are dying in that war. It's ridiculous what's happened, but it's, believe it or not, doesn't look (like) it, but it's actually getting closer," Trump assured.

However, he did not explain why he believes this or what signs point to a swift resolution of the conflict.

Over the past year, the US president has repeatedly said that the Russian-Ukrainian war would end soon.

Moreover, he has publicly called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Russian President Vladimir Putin to find common ground and agree to end the fighting.

The President of Ukraine is ready to hold talks with the Kremlin chief on this issue, but the latter is constantly undermining US peace efforts.

RBC-Ukraine previously reported on why Trump is in no hurry to impose "bone-crushing" sanctions against Russia and when this could finally happen.

We also reported that Putin is trying to impose new conditions on the US for ending the war against Ukraine.

It also became known that Zelenskyy is asking Trump for help over "Russia's Starlink."
