Trump vows to destroy Iran's Pickaxe Mountain nuclear site

US President Donald Trump announced that the Pentagon would destroy a facility inside Iran's Pickaxe Mountain, where enriched uranium may be stored. The White House chief also announced further strikes on Tehran, Reuters reports.
In an interview with reporters, Trump emphasized that Iran's military would be unable to resist the US operation to destroy the facility.
"We're going to take out Pickaxe Mountain. Tell the Iranians to be ready," Trump said.
In addition, the US leader announced new strikes on Iranian military facilities "tonight" and "tomorrow."
"We're going to hit them very hard tonight, and we're going to hit them hard tomorrow. And there's not a damn thing they can do about it," the US leader said.
Meanwhile, US Central Command has already reported that the US military has begun a third consecutive night of strikes on Iran at the direction of the Commander-in-Chief.
"These strikes will continue imposing a heavy cost on Iranian forces and degrade their ability to attack innocent civilians and commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz," the statement said.

Despite the framework agreement signed by the parties for a 60-day ceasefire, mutual attacks have resumed. In recent days, the United States announced strikes on 90 military targets in Iran.
Trump also announced the resumption of the naval blockade of Iran. The United States wants to take control of the Strait of Hormuz by imposing a 20% tariff on all vessels.
Meanwhile, according to Axios, the White House is preparing for a prolonged confrontation with Iran. The outlet claims that the US administration is considering a scenario in which the exchange of strikes over the situation around the Strait of Hormuz could last for several days or even weeks.
