Trump vows 'largest deportation operation in American history' after inauguration
US President-elect Donald Trump has pledged to launch "the largest deportation operation in American history." The initiative will begin immediately after his inauguration on January 20, 2025, reports New York Post.
Speaking on Sunday, December 22, at the Turning Point Action’s AmericaFest conference in Arizona, Trump outlined several key plans for his return to the White House and assumption of the presidency.
"On my first day back in the Oval Office, I will sign a historic slate of executive orders to close our border to illegal aliens and stop the invasion of our country," Trump said.
According to Trump, on that same day, "we will begin the largest deportation operation in American history, larger even than that of President Dwight D Eisenhower."
During the presidential campaign, Trump had promised to carry out a sweeping deportation campaign targeting undocumented immigrants residing in the United States. He appointed Tom Homan, his designated border czar, to oversee the execution of this mission.
Comments on TikTok and gender policy
At the December 22 conference, Trump also commented on positive Republican performance among young voters and opposed restricting TikTok's operations in the United States.
TikTok's parent company, ByteDance, faces a deadline of January 19, 2025, to divest from the app on Google and Apple platforms. Otherwise, the platform risks being banned from US app stores.
“I think we’re going to have to start thinking about TikTok. We did go on TikTok. We had a great response with billions of views…and it was so beautiful to see,” Trump said.
In addition, the incoming president announced plans to codify recognition of only two genders, male and female, into US law.
Trump stated that his administration would stop the transgender lunacy and that he would sign orders to stop what he referred to as the "sexual mutilation of children." He declared that, under his administration, there would be only two recognized genders in the United States: male and female. He added that his administration would remove the concept of transgenderism from the military as well as from elementary and secondary schools.
As RBC-Ukraine reported previously, during his December 22 address, Trump expressed plans to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. This step, according to Trump, aims to expedite the end of Russia's war against Ukraine.
Additionally, Trump vowed to bring an end to Russia's war in Ukraine and to prevent a potential World War III.
