Trump to talk to Putin this week

US President Donald Trump announced that he plans to speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin about a ceasefire this week, according to his statement.
US President Donald Trump stated that he will likely speak with Russian President Vladimir Putin this week but emphasized that "it takes two to tango."
Trump explained, "I'll talk to Vladimir Putin, yeah... Hopefully, he'll also agree and I really think that would be 75% of the way. The rest is getting documented, negotiating planned positions, etc."
The American president also expressed hope for a full ceasefire in the coming days.
These statements came after Ukraine accepted the US proposal for a 30-day ceasefire following negotiations between the two countries in Saudi Arabia today.
Ceasefire
Ukraine is ready for a 30-day ceasefire with Russia. The initiative was proposed by the United States during negotiations between Ukrainian and US delegations in Saudi Arabia on March 11.
"Ukraine expressed readiness to accept the US proposal to enact an immediate, interim 30-day ceasefire," stated the joint declaration of Ukraine and the US following the talks.
The statement also mentioned that such a ceasefire could be extended with the agreement of both sides if Russia accepts the proposal.
Additionally, Ukraine’s Presidential Office head, Andriy Yermak, shared during a briefing after the talks that next week, Ukraine and the US will begin discussions at the command level regarding the 30-day ceasefire. All details will be released at that time.
