Trump signals interest in talks with both Putin and Zelenskyy

US President Donald Trump said he would like to meet with Russia's Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
Trump says, regarding the prospects of the peace process, that he would like to meet with both of them and that in two weeks it would become clear which direction he would take, adding that he could go in one direction or another.
Earlier today, the US President said he would not like to attend the meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin. According to Trump, first, we need to see how they will work together.
Meeting between Zelensky and Putin
It was initially considered to be a trilateral meeting between US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and Russia's Vladimir Putin.
However, after the summit in Washington, it was proposed that Zelenskyy and Putin meet one-on-one.
According to media reports, the Kremlin offered to hold talks in Moscow, but Zelenskyy refused. The White House, on the other hand, considered the option of Budapest, but there is no official confirmation of this yet.
Zelenskyy said that the meeting with Putin should take place only on neutral territory in Europe, for example, in Austria or Switzerland. He also does not rule out the possibility of holding talks in Türkiye.
At the same time, the Russian Foreign Ministry reported that Putin is allegedly ready to meet with the Ukrainian president only if all issues that require discussion at the highest level are well prepared.
Today, the Russian FM stated that Ukraine and Russia are not yet close to holding a summit at the highest level. A meeting between Zelenskyy and Putin is possible only when the parties agree on the agenda.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian President is confident that the Russians are doing everything they can to prevent the meeting from taking place.
