Trump says Ukraine-Russia peace deal will happen 'fairly soon or it won’t be at all'

The United States has made good progress in ending Russia’s war against Ukraine. It will either happen very quickly or never, stated US President Donald Trump during a joint press conference with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Trump recalled that he had held phone talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
"I think we’ve made a lot of progress, and I think it’s moving along pretty rapidly. It’ll either be fairly soon or it won’t be at all," the US President said.
Trump added that during their talks, he and Starmer expressed hope for a ceasefire and an end to the war in Ukraine, emphasizing that it should happen quickly because Russians and Ukrainians are dying every day.
Trump's statements on ending the war in Ukraine
Earlier today, US President Donald Trump expressed confidence that he would be able to broker a peace deal in the full-scale war between Russia and Ukraine.
He also stated that negotiations on ending Russia's invasion of Ukraine have progressed significantly. He added that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not pressure for the resumption of the war if a ceasefire is achieved.
