Iran wants to reach a deal as quickly as possible, while the US is open to considering talks, though a final decision on Washington's participation has not yet been made, US President Donald Trump said on Truth Social.

According to Trump, Iran is currently interested in reaching a deal quickly.

"The failing nation of Iran wants to make a deal, quickly and badly," Trump wrote.

The US president said Washington was open to the possibility of talks with Tehran. However, US participation in such a process has not yet been decided.

"I will determine whether or not the USA will choose to engage," Trump said.

Thus, the US president left the door open to a diplomatic solution but did not confirm that the United States had already agreed to negotiations. Trump also did not say when the talks could take place or what specific terms a potential deal might involve.

Iran recently resumed production of ballistic missiles at underground facilities following Israeli and US strikes. According to The Wall Street Journal, Tehran is already assembling at least two main types of missiles.

It was also reported that Iran had asked Russia for advanced Geran drones, which Moscow significantly upgraded during its war against Ukraine. According to the Financial Times, Tehran wants to use them in its war against the US and Israel.
