Attempted terrorist attack on Flydubai aircraft
Earlier, flight FZ1073 was traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv on the morning of September 30.
As the aircraft approached Israel, emergency code 7700 was initially transmitted from the plane. A few minutes later, code 7500 was transmitted, indicating unlawful interference and the hijacking of an aircraft.
One of the pilots of the Flydubai passenger aircraft flying from Dubai to Tel Aviv was an Omani citizen and attempted to cause a plane crash. The captain of the aircraft tried to stop him.
Israel officially described the events on board the Flydubai aircraft as a terrorist attack. It was allegedly attempted by a jihadist.
In addition, Flydubai announced the suspension of all flights to and from Israel. The decision was made while an investigation is being conducted into an attempt by one of the pilots to crash an aircraft carrying Israelis.
