Israel reveals what really happened aboard Flydubai

Events aboard a Flydubai flight have been officially described by Israel as a terrorist act. It was likely carried out by a jihadist, according to a statement by Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz, Ynet reports.

The incident aboard the Flydubai flight was a "jihadist terror attempt," Katz said.
According to him, a tragedy was prevented thanks to the heroism of several Israeli passengers. They stormed the cockpit, neutralized the terrorist, and handed control of the aircraft to another member of the flight crew.
According to him, the attacker intended to crash the plane with all the passengers on board.
"According to the initial information we have, the terrorist's intention was one: to crash the plane with all its passengers," the minister said.
Katz added that the warnings he and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issue based on intelligence information should be taken seriously.
Events aboard the Flydubai flight
Flight FZ1073 was traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv on the morning of September 30.
As the aircraft approached Israel, an emergency code 7700 was initially transmitted from the plane. A few minutes later, code 7500 was transmitted, indicating unlawful interference and a hijacking, as RBC-Ukraine previously reported.
The aircraft then began to descend sharply: according to Flightradar24, it dropped from approximately 34,000 feet to 14,000 feet within a short period.
The Israeli Air Force scrambled fighter jets, and the aircraft was later escorted by the Saudi Air Force. At around 10:00 a.m., the flight landed in Tabuk.
In addition, one of the pilots of the Flydubai passenger aircraft traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv turned out to be an Omani citizen and attempted to cause an air disaster.
