Tehran has a "last chance" to reach a deal with the United States. The two sides are currently holding talks with the support of Middle Eastern countries, US President Donald Trump said during a press conference at the White House.
"This is the last chance for them to sign a good document," he said, referring to Iran.
According to the US president, negotiations between the two countries are already underway.
"We are talking at the request of Iran, backed by Saudi Arabia, backed by the UAE, and backed by Qatar in particular, but many other countries called," Trump said.
Earlier, Donald Trump announced the start of a new round of negotiations with Iran. According to him, Washington decided to pursue diplomacy and refrain from carrying out new strikes on the Islamic Republic.
Trump also said that Iran, with the support of several Middle Eastern countries, had asked the United States not to carry out new strikes on its territory.
At the same time, the US president accused Tehran of being "duplicitous." According to him, the Iranian authorities continue to make contradictory statements and are in no hurry to sign a peace agreement with the United States.
In particular, the US president said that Iran first "begs" for a meeting, after which negotiations begin. At the same time, according to Trump, Tehran claims that it is not holding any discussions.
