US President Donald Trump plans to visit the Gaza Strip in the future, though the exact timing remains unclear, Time reports.

Trump was asked if he would go to Gaza.

"I will. Yeah, I will," he replied briefly, without providing further details.

The President highlighted that under the US peace plan, a so-called Peace Council has been established, which "is going to be a very powerful group of people" with significant authority over the Middle East.

Trump also noted that the Middle East has never been so united, with only Hamas remaining a "fringe group."

When asked about his request to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu not to annex the West Bank, part of Palestine, Trump said, "It won’t happen because I gave my word to the Arab countries. And you can't do that now. We've had great Arab support. It won't happen because I gave my word to the Arab countries. It will not happen. Israel would lose all of its support from the United States if that happened."

Trump's visit to Gaza

US President Donald Trump had planned to visit the Gaza Strip on October 8. At that time, he was supposed to travel to the Middle East to sign a peace agreement on Gaza.

However, the American leader only visited Israel and Egypt.

Incidentally, just a few days ago, President Trump said that US allies in the Middle East had expressed their readiness to send troops to the Gaza Strip amid a possible violation of the ceasefire by Hamas.

According to Trump, if the militants continue to violate the truce, "an end to Hamas will be fast".
