US President Donald Trump has previously and repeatedly demanded that Ukraine stop striking Russian oil refineries. Following a refusal, the US side allegedly threatened to halt intelligence sharing with Ukraine, according to a statement by White House Press Secretary Katie Zacharia during a media briefing.

White House uncertain

A journalist directly asked Zacharia whether the US had stopped providing intelligence to Ukraine.

The White House Press Secretary was unable to provide a clear answer.

She said that she would need to look into that matter and get back to me with an answer.

Halting of intelligence sharing

During negotiations, US representatives threatened to halt the transfer of intelligence to Ukraine if the Defense Forces did not stop strikes on Russian oil refineries.

Later, Ukrainian Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrii Sybiha stated that despite tensions in relations with Washington, intelligence sharing between Ukraine and the US is ongoing.

Furthermore, alerts regarding the launch of Russian ballistic missiles are part of the intelligence data the US provides to Ukraine, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy's advisor and radio technology expert Serhii "Flash" Beskrestnov.
