Trump's Special Envoy to Ukraine, Keith Kellogg, stated that a complete ceasefire for 30 days would mark the beginning of the end of the Russia-Ukraine war.

"A comprehensive (air, land, sea, infrastructure) cease fire for 30 days will start the process for ending the largest and longest war in Europe since World War II," Kellogg wrote in a post on X.

He noted that US President Donald Trump has repeatedly stated: "Stop the killing-now."

What prompted Kellogg's post

Kellogg's response was made in reaction to a post by Ukraine's Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha, who wrote about the Coalition of the Willing having a conversation with Trump regarding the achievement of peace. In particular, Sybiha mentioned that Ukraine and all its allies were ready for a complete and unconditional ceasefire for at least 30 days, starting Monday, May 12.

"If Russia agrees and effective monitoring is ensured, a durable ceasefire and confidence-building measures can pave the way to peace negotiations," wrote Ukraine's Foreign Minister.

Earlier, we reported that after today's meeting, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the 30-day ceasefire will begin on May 12. If Russia rejects, new sanctions will be imposed on the country.
