US President Donald Trump may still decide to halt intelligence sharing with Ukraine, Semafor reports.
One source at the White House claims that Trump is currently actively considering the idea.
Although the US president has not yet made a final decision, discussions of this possibility within his circle are becoming increasingly frequent.
Notably, opinions on the issue are divided within the Trump administration. CIA Director John Ratcliffe is opposed to the idea. He is considered one of the most consistent supporters of Ukraine among US officials.
“Trump is pretty p***** off. He could order it (halt intelligence sharing with Ukraine — ed.),” an anonymous source said.
According to the insider, the US president is being urged to block intelligence sharing to disrupt Ukrainian Armed Forces strikes on Russia.
In 2025, Trump already briefly suspended intelligence sharing with Ukraine following a tense meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in the Oval Office. However, the process was subsequently resumed.
Earlier, Trump assured reporters that he had not halted intelligence sharing with Ukraine, adding that Washington was allegedly continuing to help Kyiv.
Despite this, the US did not warn Ukraine about Russia’s ballistic missile strike on October 12. American officials have already explained why this happened.
Today, it also emerged that Starlink restrictions for Ukraine had complicated the use of medium-range strikes.
