The war in the Middle East could end immediately after the US midterm elections, according to US President Donald Trump.

Trump says hostilities with Iran will come to an end as early as November 2026.

He also believes that gasoline prices will drop sharply immediately after the conflict ends.

US President is convinced that Iran's leadership is currently deliberately escalating the situation in an attempt to influence the results of the US midterm elections and weaken the Republicans' position.

"I think the war is going to end immediately after the election," he states.

According to Trump, Iran is trying to ensure the election of what he considers weaker politicians to Congress—politicians who would allow Tehran to continue its nuclear program without proper oversight.

At the same time, the US leader's prediction suggests that the war could last another two months or so. This will force Republican candidates to continue grappling with the consequences of the conflict, particularly its impact on the cost of living.

Republicans fear that the economic consequences of the war could cause them to lose their majority in the House of Representatives and potentially jeopardize their majority in the Senate.

Earlier, foreign media reported that the US war with Iran could drag on until the end of Donald Trump's presidential term.

Recently, Tehran lost five tankers in a single night.

Against the backdrop of recent events in the Middle East, oil prices continue to rise rapidly.
