Trump reveals what US could do next against Iran

The United States has at least two options for dealing with Iran: wait for the country's economy to collapse or launch another major attack, Reuters reports.
Trump says he could "just watch" Iran
Trump accused Iran of engaging in "devious negotiations" and outlined some of his current options in the conflict.
"I'm sort of negotiating. They're very devious negotiators," Trump said.
He described one possible strategy as follows: "Do what I'm doing now: just bop along and look how bad they're doing."
Trump also said Iran is in a terrible economic condition.
"They can't borrow money. We control their money, what they had, which is a lot. They had a lot, and we have total control of it. I'm their banker," he said, referring to frozen Iranian assets.
Will the conflict escalate?
Since the conflict began in late February, Trump has repeatedly shifted between threats of escalation and statements regarding the inevitability of a peace deal.
On August 11, Pakistan said the United States and Iran were close to reaching an agreement. Qatar also said talks on managing the Strait of Hormuz were at an advanced stage, although there have been reports of new attacks on shipping in regional waters.
Another option would be to hit them "really, really hard," Trump said.
Trump says the US has enough ammunition
The US president also dismissed concerns about dwindling ammunition stocks, saying the United States is "building them like crazy."
He also blamed former US President Joe Biden for the depletion of weapons stocks.
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that Trump announced demands for compensation from Iran, instructing his representatives to calculate potential reparations from Tehran instead.
Trump also indicated that he was prepared to increase economic pressure on Iran rather than order another military strike.
